Rainy wednsdays get me wet

This may seem like a crazy topic be patient with me and I will try to give it some substance,as many of you know yesterday was very wet but it was dry and warm at 8:am that is when I left on my bike to travel to Butler hospital first where Duane George was having a lazer procedure done,it was a beautiful ride and as I sat with Duanes wife Maryjane I saw a nurse with an umbrella and it was wet.
That was my first clue and the longer we waited the wetter my jacket and gear became ,I was going to go from Butler to Kittanning to see Terry Bowser before he had some surgery but our wait for Duane was longer than expected and when he came out of surgery I made the decision to go to Terrys house and after a very plesant ride in wet clothes and a few how do I get to Terrys house I arrived and after a short wait and a plesant talk with Zane ,Terry arrived home and we had prayer and Terry retired to his house to rest .
I left with the sound of thunder and the darkness of an impending storm and not to dissapoint me as I approached Lernerville speedway on 356 I looked ahead and saw a wall of water coming at me before I could get off the road it was coming down in sheets as I pulled into the racetrack and some shelter I was soaked thru.
As I left the track it let up a little but as I continued it began all over again and I made one more stop and pulled right into a repair shop long enough to get my self ready to continue my journey knowing I only had about 45 miles to go.
My journey was set I needed to get home to see my son and his family so I focoused on that and sure as anything I came up on an accident and sent up two prayers one thankful for my saftey and the other asking mercy on those involved ,shortly after that the sky began to clear and the rain stopped I was able to come home on dry roads with a big smile.
Why would I take the time to tell you all this when all you really know is I got wet,I guess the real reason is it seems a modern day parable you see I started out to serve God it was plesant and I was confident the day would go as I planned and it did but God had some things he wanted me to experience and endure.
There are some valuable lessons for me and I hope for you as well first knowing that his ways are not our ways and our ways are not his ways should be enough to protect us from some uncomfortable times in our journey with Jesus 1 I had a rain suit at home which would have kept me dry but my said I can get along without it and I did but also suffered the effects of the storm ,God provides us with covering of the holy spirit dont leave home without him you never know when a storm may come into your life he may not stop the storm but he will protect you from the ills it may cause.
2 Even when you are in the service of God you will not, maybe have trials you cant forsee but they need not be tragic if we rely on Jesus .

I had all the rain gear to stay dry if only I would have taken it with me a lesson learned and I must not trust myself more than God after all each day the sun comes up if he can create this for us I know he can keep me dry if I use what he has provided for me.

Trust in the lord with all your heart and dont lean on your own knowledge in all your ways aknowledge him and he will direct your steps.

Dry and trusting
