The last two days have been wonderful as well as stressful, the stress part is minimal for me and major for those I have been able to serve.
Yesterday I had the honor of serving my racing family by doing a burial service ,it was a beautiful day and I was able to ride my motor cycle ,when I got to the cemetery the family was there and when the funeral director arrived we began the service in the chapel then to the grave when we had a closing prayer I ask if anyone would like to put a handful of earth in the grave most did.
I is in my opinion a way for those that are there to have a part in this closure and not feel like a spectator.
After leaving I stopped to visit a good friend and found out about another friend that was having some trials and was ask if I could check on him of course I said yes.
After one more stop it was on home for dinner with my wife and some checking on a drivers wife that was beginning chemothearpy and other details so I can know how to pray.
This day had its share of joy and tears but through all of it there was a special sense of being able to share all I have that being Gods love.
Today would start all over I would be going to Pittsburgh to two different hospitals for two reasons one being my wifes brother that has lost his rt leg due to a motorcycle accident ,the second a young man with very serious burns from a wrecking yard accident he is 14 years old and has been in the hospital for about 6 months, he will likely br there until at least Dec.
Both of these men gave me such a lift with their attitudes for total recovery they are at different facilities and so I left my wife at one and went to look for the other and found it with little trouble after a great visit I left to find my way back to the other location,no trouble another great visit .
Now the fun part the drivers power window on my car is not working so on parking in the valet lot I put a note on the window and told the attandant to NOT put the window down,guess what you got it when the car came back note gone window down cold weather and rain from pittsburgh home ,this reminded me of a rainy bike ride I could have been upset but it would do no good.
I know this may bore you but the worst I had to suffer was cold and wet but those I had visited would gladly change places with me if they could ,I will be glad to make the same trip as many times as needed and not complain,how about you? we all may be in one of these situations some day.
Being blessed and highly favored to me means I may have to endure cold ,wet,tiredness hunger, and all sorts of trials so others will be Blessed and highly favored.
