Do you like what you do?

The question is not can you do what you are doing or do you , continue just because you feel you need to prove yourself.I would tell you you need to have a love affair with what you do not just a duty would you argue or agree.

For many of us we have remained in positions we were not happy with for many years hoping we will change or it will change the chance of either of those happening border on slim to none ,so what do we do stay where we are or say to God help me find my God place in this life I am now living.

Most of us have a good feel for our destiny but many times we move away from the call on our life and become mired in a life of success without real satisfaction.

From the time I began to search for my life time mission I knew what I wanted to do and that was to be involved in motor sports mostly motorcycles and race cars both of these took a very prominent place in my life ,there were times when I actually had the chance to go full time with the racing side ,I reasoned it would be a short lived career and as a result chose to play it safe and live beneath the plan God had for my life.

I have found in the last three years I could be a christian and a racer all at the same time I became a chaplain with Motor Racing Outreach I am now living a life that is so full of joy I cant describe the satisfaction when you are fully submitted to Gods plan for your life.

The monetary reward is less than I have ever had but the peace and satisfaction I have from serving the racing community can never be matched with money, fame or for that matter anything other than Gods reward.

This has been pointed out to me many times in the last year both at the track as well as away ,this is how I answer the question Do you like what you do? I will answer the question for you I not only like what I do I love what I do and by the grace of God will continue for a long time.

This week I was part of a group of racers planning a fund raiser for kids at Lake Erie Speedway it will be the second for us and we look for even greater success than last year you will hear more as time gos on ,you may contact me if you wish.

Today I attended the flea market at Sharon Speedway I mentioned some of the needs for some needy race people and with out twisting any arms or making empty promises the racing family responded ,I will never be able to say thank you enough or often enough for you unselfish giving and concern,

This is why you need to find that special place where you never need to say I wish I could do something that makes me happy,it may not be with racing it may be something far removed from what I do begin to pray and ask God to guide you he will and if you dont take the gentle hints he is able to arrange circumstances sos you will have no doubt ,he did for me and he will do it for you the easy way or the hard way ,dont choose the hard way like I did .

Loving  life and the plan he has for me.
