Here I am God send me.

I can remember when I said that and where I stood when I said it, ever since that night in 1967 my life has been a series of lessons learned as well as a series of mistakes made.

Throught this entrire 40 years there has been a couple of constants and with out them it would have been impossible to endure the mistakes or to learn the lessons ,the two constants have been my wife of 52 years Judy the other is Jesus my rock , they both have extended me grace I didnt deserve and love that I sometimes had not given them,

There is a real lesson to be learned from my life and I hope you will spare yourself the pain I have endured because of my selfish attitudes .but if you make the same mistakes as I have let me assure you if you trust Jesus and ask for his help he will answer you in every case.

The answer here I am God send me has taken me into places and situations I never dreamed I would be in,this past week I was called on to go and do things I never felt capable of, all because I said here Iam God send me.

Motor sports ministry is not only going to the race track and seeing the races and getting to know the drivers it should be a deeper reason than that,I have tried to make it my priority to serve in every area not just the race night .

Motor sports in my mind encompasses every for of motor sports ,this is where I find myself most of the time wearing many hats ,from race cars of all types to motorcycles and any thing they are involved in.

This past week I was honored to ride my bike with the Patriot Guard to conduct two funerals at a Natl cemetery near Pittsburgh,one was for a ww2 vet the other was for a korean war vet as I rode the ride to get there my mind was totaly engaged in the honor of serving those men and their families,riding down the road in a group with one purpose and onlt able to hear the sound of the open exhaust is one of my simple pleasures .

Serving your fellow man is one of the best things you will ever do and to steal a thought from John F Kennedy Ask not what your friend can do for you but what you can do for your friend?

Wensday night was another opportunity to serve my Motor sports family I had the honor of doing Tim Reehers funeral service ,Tim and I started in the race track scene at about the same time at Hickory Speedway in NewCastle Tim working the gate and me doing the welding Tim later became the announcer and I did my first race track prayer ,we both had the same start and as a result he gave me the honor of conduting his home going service,God is so good.

I am now getting ready for another full weekend of serving the racing family ,what a joy and all because I said in avery timid unsure voice here I am God send me,I in no way want to imply that I have reached some high position but rather that  the highest plce I can get is on my knees at the foot of the cross.

Wherever I get in life it is only because of Gods amazing grace and nothing I have done to desrve it you have the same opportunity all you have to do is say to God here I am send me and then wait for your travel assignments,this is not a mystery trip he has already told us our eternal home can be heaven ,and the answer here I am God send me.
